We’ve built our plans around something called an ICHRA (individual coverage health reimbursement arrangement), a newer type of health benefit made possible by federal legislation in 2020. Adoption has been slow mostly because typical ICHRA plans are designed for big teams and focus on customization. We took a different approach! StretchDollar created plans with small businesses in mind -- simplify everything and make health benefits available in a snap.
Typically, they’ll gain access to more than a dozen health insurance policies from 5 to 6 national and local health insurance carriers on the marketplace (also known as the health insurance exchange). We also offer a lot of guidance. Here are some city guides for several Texas cities including: Austin, Dallas, Ft. Worth, Houston and San Antonio.
You’re in control, so you can pick your own budget. How much do you want to allocate for your employees each month? Whatever the amount, StretchDollar gives you the advantage of flexibility. You get to call the shots and choose the best budget for your business.
Yes, our platform is free to use. Our focus has always been on small businesses, and adding a bunch of fees can be a big friction point. Besides, on top of many other things, we’re also a health insurance brokerage. When our brokers match your people with policies, we receive a commission from the health insurance carriers. This doesn’t change the price — it’s illegal to charge any differently if a broker is attached to a policy — so there’s no price impact to you or your employees.
